Song Chol says : “Good and evil are useless discriminations and so it follows that even though the Devil and Buddha have different names, they are one and the same. Consequently, to merely forgive an evildoer and not respect him as buddha means that you do not comprehend his true nature.
It’s as if the evildoer is a person in dirty clothes and the Buddha is a person in clean clothes. To discriminate on the basis of clothing means that you don’t see the person wearing it. So instead of screaming, “Get out of here, devil!” you should treat the devil with total sincerity: “Devil, you are sacred. I really respect you.” If you do, then you’ll never again be able to find a single devil in the whole world; it will be filled with buddhas all standing hand-in-hand.”
