From Swami Chinmayananda

Swami Chinmayananda says : “Every activity of every person is only to satisfy the mind. The mind is the commander. The mind is the king. If the mind is happy, I am happy. If the mind is unhappy, I am unhappy. My entire life is dependent upon my mind… But how very few of us know it!”

Swami Krishnananda says : “The whole point about the religions is that they are like many roads leading to one peak of a mountaintop, where they will all merge into one single spot. If this is accepted, there will be fraternity and brotherly feeling among the religions in the world”

Swami Chinmayananda says : “To deny a thought is to engage a thought. Leave it alone – let it pass.”

Swami Chinmayananda says : “When you want to eat a banana, please don’t eat the way a cow does. Throw away the peel and consume the sweet inner core. Give up the outer wrappings – BMI (Body-Mind-Intellect), PFT (Perceiver-Feeler-Thinker), OET (Objects-Emotions-Thoughts) and go to the core, the pure blissful content.”

Swami Chinmayananda says : “Why worry? Without birth and death, without the perpetual transmutation of all forms of life, the world would be static rhythmless undancing, mummified.”
